Maple Glazed Salmon

This maple glazed salmon is rich, glossy, and perfectly balanced with sweet and savory flavor. It’s an easy oven-baked dinner that looks impressive but stays simple.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 salmon fillets 6 ounces each, skin on or skinless
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional garnish: sliced green onions or chopped fresh herbs

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
  4. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels.
  5. Season the salmon evenly with the salt and black pepper.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, olive oil, and minced garlic until smooth.
  7. Spoon half of the glaze evenly over the salmon fillets.
  8. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 12 minutes.
  9. Remove the salmon from the oven and spoon the remaining glaze over each fillet.
  10. Return the salmon to the oven and continue baking for 4 to 6 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and appears opaque.
  11. Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 2 minutes before serving.
  12. Garnish with green onions or herbs if desired, then serve warm.
