Honey-Glazed Salmon

This honey-glazed salmon has tender, flaky fillets with a glossy honey garlic lemon glaze and lightly caramelized edges. It’s a simple skillet dinner with sweet, salty, bright flavor and a polished finish.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 ounces each
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Honey Garlic Lemon Glaze
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley optional
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Method
 

  1. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels.
  2. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  3. Whisk honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, Dijon, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Place salmon in the skillet, top side down.
  6. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until golden underneath.
  7. Flip the salmon gently with a thin spatula.
  8. Lower the heat to medium.
  9. Add the honey mixture and butter to the skillet.
  10. Spoon the glaze over the salmon for 3 to 5 minutes.
  11. Cook until the thickest part reaches 145°F.
  12. Remove the salmon from the skillet.
  13. Spoon extra glaze over the top.
  14. Add parsley and lemon wedges before serving.
